Conscious Flex: A List of FAQ that Arise When Pointing Arises.

Interesting. It was difficult to read, and I think I only grasped about 80% of what you were saying...all the while, feeling my mind attempt to shut down and not pay attention - running from the truth that my thoughts were trying to hide. Still not sure I fully understand, but that's because my thoughts are scrambling to change my focus to something less painfully true :)

Thank you for all the posts you do. I read nearly every one you post on myspace.

Indeed, it's common that losing focus, falling asleep, or simply not being interested in this pointing; will arise for the reasons you just stated. The thought created self doesn't want to die and lose all the investment thoughts made into thinking.

An appreciation arises for 'you'. No need to thank 'me', it's 'my' pleasure.

Seems like a lot of thought went into thinking this article through. Trying to keep up with all the "thoughts" kept me on my toes. I think I understand it, but my thoughts are a little put off by all the references to thoughts. My mind is spinning... I think I'll go to bed.

    Great article, Nicholas!

I am not sure where the thoughts came from to write this article. I don't choose thoughts because there is no I here to choose the thoughts that come. So no, a lot of thinking didn't go into this article, but a lot of thoughts came out while these fingers moved on the keyboard. Without thought always referencing itself as a self, thoughts are used as a tool to point (used by no-one or nothing, just a natural spontaneous occurrence) to direct expereince.

The stories that arise "here" are bloody fantastic. A bit of stuggle, just enough to keep the plot interesting. Not those tales of tragedy and woe and suffering that seemed to arise before; however, part of the "current" story is to see all that as a gift. "Simultaneously" with the story, is the sense that there is no cause and effect at all. The mind cannot rectify these mutually exclusive co-existing apparent realities; the mystery. However, the mind doesn't give a toss anymore! The story of hanging loose.

For sure, thoughts are beautiful. No matter what story is created, it's a such a magnificent story. The fact that story's can be created at all is unfathomable. How can it not be beautiful, whatever it is?

Hanging loose and free-falling indeed Suzanne :)

Great article. Take a while to read all but there are some very interesting thoughts that I need to reflect upon. Thanks.

    Thought reflecting upon thought. ;)

Aye, there's the rub. To sleep, perchance to dream. It's all terribly, extremely flimsy, this apparently solid reality. I can't describe how obvious it is that whatever the senses seem to be relaying, is very much like a hologram, and takes up no space. So many are so resistant to the notion of not taking any of it too seriously; just another story, indeed, the story of not taking it all terribly seriously, yet it's difficult to put much credence or import on any apparent story that arises, beyond its intrinsic existential value, which is phantasmagoric and extraordinary. Thoughts and feelings of enjoyment arising full force. Don't forget those feelings in there with the thoughts! So intense, so unfiltered. Magnificent.

Yes we awake to this sleep at the moment we are born, and as we grow up, we all start dreaming. There is nothing wrong with dream, even if it is taken as real, but sleeping and dreaming are quite differently the same one movement, going nowhere.

It seems that the story that arise for most in the dream, is separating the dream into absolute and relative. When pointing arises, apparently I am accused of being stuck in the absolute. As if this hologram can be separated. It is difficult to point to such a dreamer that no such separation exists. They say things like: "Yes there is oneness on the absolute side of things, but in the relative sense there is duality." Expressing how duality doesn't exist unless dreaming and never have existed as something solid, is quite a challenge.

The sleep and dream (not like there is a separation there either) are taken seriously when any story that is told, is taken to be more than a story. All the stories are beautiful, believed or not. It's unfathomable that any stories can be told at all, that this hologram is seemly to arise at all, it's such a magnificence indeed!

The dude and the dudeet (the girl dude) preform a nondual duet! *Laughs*

Hi! It's not so easy to understand at times, especially if we use words as a medium :) Yet through all these, we can say it's wonderful and we are thankful for all that IS.

Hello Jocelyn. Thank you for stopping by, always good to hear from you!

A fabulous pointer named Suzanne ( http://nothingexistsdespiteappearances.blogspot... ) puts it like this: "Words are fun prisons." :)

    Jocelyn you are loved *Hugs*

If one knew the answer to your questions, he/she would see non-duality and recognise the absolute truth within. Or if people ask such question to themselves, their consciousness will mingle with the absolute reality, helping them gain insight about their existence. I really like the way you have explained the advaita vedanta in simple words. Of all the questions, the most difficult to answer is "How do I get rid of my ego?"! If one learns the art of practising humility, he starts trading on the path to enlightenment!

Excellent article! Please keep writing more!

There are ones who have heard these pointings for years and even decades. Hearing it for so long, the mind starts to pick up on a pattern and one begins to have an intellectual understanding only. Therefore, I wouldn't say that anyone who can answer nonduality questions knows the direct expereince beyond the intellectual.

The pointing that comes out here is somewhat in a creative way, which means is not something that the mind can pick-up on too easily and have an intellectual understanding.

Whenever there is an going within to answer a question here, I never get an answer unless the ego (which nothing more than thought believing thought) gives me an answer. If you get an intellectual answer when you go within, you can be sure the answer is only the ego. Nonduality questions can not be answered, what one can only do is to give an answer that causes the questioner (the mind/ego/thoughts) to fade.

Th question: "How do I get rid of my ego?", can be pointed out of, in many different ways. I would say that the ego is whatever this is too, so it doesn't have to be gotten rid of. Sometimes thoughts see through themselves or they don't, either way it is the way it is. It is this, as it is; whatever this is.

Yet, depending on the person, where the question derived from, the way it was put, what was said before the question came up, and a variety of other things; would depend on how I would answer the question for the particular body/mind that asked it.

Thank you Rampant, for all your help in spreading the word about these articles. You are greatly appreciated. Thank you as well for taking the time to stop by, comment, and connect! :) *Hugs*

    *Laughs out loud*

I hope you don't have any preconceived ideas about how light or heavy the workout is (or even if there will be a work-out at all) because I have no idea what the hell is going to be said (I don't even know where I will be in the next 5 minutes). You might even end up unsubscribing because of it, that seems to be a popular choice as of lately *laughs*

In any case, you are always welcome here Peter, thank you for the smiles and laughs.
